Quinto Domingo Del Tiempo Ordinario / Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

"Todos buscan a Cristo, algunos de una manera expresa y esforzada, otros quizá sin ser conscientes de ello, 'ya que nuestro corazón está inquieto y no encuentra descanso hasta reposar en Él'" (San Agustín). "El cristianismo comienza con la encarnación del Verbo. Aquí no es sólo el hombre quien busca a Dios, sino que es Dios quien viene en Persona a hablar de sí al hombre. Dios busca al hombre movido por su corazón de Padre" (San Juan Pablo II).

La Eucaristía de cada domingo es el encuentro con el Señor que viene a levantarnos del pecado de la rutina y del desánimo para hacer de nosotros testigos vivos de un encuentro que nos renueva constantemente, y que nos hace libres de verdad con Jesucristo.

"Everyone seeks Christ, some explicitly and diligently, others perhaps without being aware of it. 'Our heart is restless until it rests in you.'" (St. Augustine). “Christianity has its starting point in the Incarnation of the Word. Here, it is not simply a case of man seeking God, but of God who comes in Person to speak to man of himself. God seeks man out, moved by his fatherly heart.” (St. John Paul II).

Every Sunday's Eucharist is our encounter with the Lord who comes to lift us from the sin of routine and discouragement, to make us living witnesses of an encounter that constantly renews us, and that truly sets us free in the grace of Jesus Christ.
