"El pasaje del EVANGELIO sobre la sal de la tierra y la luz del mundo es conocido por la mayoría de los católicos. Algunas personas evitan compartir sus dones, sin que nadie sepa que tocan el órgano o que tienen una licenciatura en educación religiosa o finanzas, conocimientos que podrían beneficiar a la parroquia. El Evangelio es un desafío para quienes guardan sus talentos para sí mismos.

IMÁGENES: Una comunidad sin sal es como una bolsa de papas fritas sin sal. La Madre Teresa de Calcuta y Martin Luther King Jr. fueron la sal y la luz, no solo para la gente de sus países, sino también para el mundo entero. Nadie guarda una lámpara en el bolsillo al caminar por un camino oscuro.

¿El ejemplo de vida justa y recta de quién me ha inspirado?

¿Me siento cómodo predicando desde mi debilidad en lugar de mi sabiduría?

¿De qué maneras llevo la luz de Dios al mundo?

¿Qué dones estoy escondiendo en lugar de compartirlos con el pueblo de Dios?"

Some people try to avoid sharing their gifts, not letting anyone know they play the organ or have a degree in religious education or finance, which could benefit the parish. The Gospel is a challenge to those who would hoard their talents.

IMAGES: A community without salt is like a bag of unsalted potato chips. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Martin Luther King Jr. were the salt and light, not only to the people of their countries, but also to the entire world. No one puts a flashlight in a pocket while walking down a dark path.

QUESTIONS: Which works of mercy am I most comfortable performing? Which do I find most difficult or uncomfortable?

Whose example of a just and upright life has inspired me? Am I comfortable preaching out of my weakness rather than my wisdom?In what ways do I bring God's light to the world? What gifts am I hiding under a basket rather than sharing with God's people?”
