2nd Week of Advent “PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD”

Blessed Advent Season to all. I pray that everyone is healthy and happy this season as we come closer to the celebration of Christmas. Everyone is busy preparing for Christmas but let us not forget the best preparation is inside our hearts, to prepare the way of the Lord as John the Baptist proclaimed. What truly matters is not the beautiful lights in our homes but the lights inside our hearts shining thru others. Exactly the message of John the Baptist crying in the desert, to prepare the way of the Lord in our lives, to change our ways to God’s ways, to decorate our life with goodness, mercy and kindness to others and to celebrate the love and mercy of God by our actions, to clean up our hearts from sinfulness and to bring glad tidings to others who have none. Prepare the way of the Lord is John the Baptist way of saying, let Jesus be born the manger of your hearts. For it is not the gifts we receive but rather the gifts we give that truly matter. As my favorite saying goes, “don’t just say Merry Christmas, DO Merry Christmas! Amen!

2ª semana de Adviento “PREPARAR EL CAMINO DEL SEÑOR”

Feliz Adviento a todos. Rezo para que todos estén sanos y felices en esta época, ahora que nos acercamos a la celebración de la Navidad. Todos están ocupados preparándose para la Navidad, pero no olvidemos que la mejor preparación está en nuestros corazones, para preparar el camino del Señor, como proclamó Juan el Bautista. Lo que realmente importa no son las hermosas luces de nuestros hogares, sino las luces de nuestros corazones que brillan a través de los demás. Ese es precisamente el mensaje de Juan el Bautista clamando en el desierto: preparar el camino del Señor en nuestras vidas, cambiar nuestros caminos por los caminos de Dios, adornar nuestra vida con bondad, misericordia y amabilidad hacia los demás, y celebrar el amor y la misericordia de Dios con nuestras acciones, limpiar nuestros corazones del pecado y llevar la buena nueva a los que no la tienen. Preparar el camino del Señor es la forma en que Juan el Bautista dice: deja que Jesús nazca en el pesebre de nuestros corazones. Porque lo que realmente importa no son los regalos que recibimos, sino los que damos. Como dice mi frase favorita: “No te limites a decir Feliz Navidad, ¡VIVE la Navidad!”. ¡Amén!
