Holy Family “Presentation of Jesus” / Sagrada Familia “Presentación ee Jesús”

Happy Feast of the Holy Family to all your family and loved ones! I pray that your family be guided and protected by the family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph and that your family be blessed with every blessing you need! What makes the Holy Family HOLY? For me, because they have Jesus with them. Do we have Jesus in our family? I’m not talking about the images or pictures of Jesus posted in our walls which many of our homes have but rather Jesus as the center of our family thru prayers, thru our words and actions, thru the virtues of Jesus and our good examples worth imitating for. The saying goes, “The family that prays together stays together”. Many families nowadays are separated by distance for some reason. The strongest and most basic foundation of every family is when we have God inside our homes, when we value each other as children of God and when we make Jesus the center of our family. It’s not the material things inside our homes that makes the house a home but the family who loved God and each other unconditionally. I like the acronym of FAMILY: FATHER AND MOTHER I LOVE YOU. Someone said, “When the “I” becomes more important than the “You” in I love you, the word in the middle fades away” Let us make our family HOLY by our lives. Amen!

¡Feliz Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia a todos sus familiares y seres queridos! ¡Rezo para que su familia sea guiada y protegida por la familia de Jesús, María y José y que su familia sea bendecida con todas las bendiciones que necesita! Qué hace que la Sagrada Familia sea SANTA? Para mí, porque tienen a Jesús con ellos. ¿Tenemos a Jesús en nuestra familia? No me refiero a las imágenes o cuadros de Jesús colgados en nuestras paredes que tenemos muchos en nuestros hogares sino a Jesús como el centro de nuestra familia a través de la oración, a través de nuestras palabras y acciones, a través de las virtudes de Jesús y nuestros buenos ejemplos dignos de imitación. Dice el refrán: “La familia que reza unida, permanence unida:. Muchas familias hoy en día están separadas por la distancia por algún motivo. El fundamento más fuerte y básico de toda familia es cuando tenemos a Dios dentro de nuestros hogares, cuando nos valoramos unos a otros como hijos de Dios y cuando hacemos de Jesús el centro de nuestra familia. No son las cosas materiales dentro de nuestros hogares lo que hacen de la casa un hogar, sino la familia que ama a Dios y a los demás incondicionalmente. Me gusta el acrónimo de FAMILIA; PADRE Y MADRE YO TE AMO. Alguien dijo: “Cuando el “yo” se vuelve más importante que el “te” en “yo te amo”, la palabra “amo” al final se desvanece” Hagamos SANTA a nuestra familia con nuestras vidas. ¡Amén!
