Behold the Lamb of God / He aquí el Cordero de Dios

Welcome back to the season in Ordinary Time. The message of John the Baptist guides our journey of faith as we just began the new year 2026. “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” these words of John the Baptist are words of magnifying and glorifying Jesus, the Lamb of God. These words reflect the kind of life and ministry he preached and lived. He magnifies Jesus not himself by saying, “He must increase and I must decrease.” These are words of humility that can be seen in his own life. John the Baptist's life is a life of humility and testimony about Jesus. May our lives be a testimony of Jesus presence in us. May our actions be a proclamation of Jesus kingship in our lives. May Jesus be recognized into our journey of faith. Amen!

Bienvenidos de nuevo al tiempo ordinario. El mensaje de Juan el Bautista guía nuestro camino de fe al comenzar el nuevo año 2026. “He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo”. Estas palabras de Juan el Bautista son palabras de exaltación y glorificación de Jesús, el Cordero de Dios. Estas palabras reflejan el tipo de vida y ministerio que predicó y vivió. Él magnifica a Jesús, no a sí mismo, al decir: “Es necesario que él crezca y que yo disminuya”. Son palabras de humildad que se reflejan en su propia vida. La vida de Juan el Bautista es una vida de humildad y testimonio sobre Jesús. Que nuestras vidas sean un testimonio de la presencia de Jesús en nosotros. Que nuestras acciones sean una proclamación del reinado de Jesús en nuestras vidas. Que Jesús sea reconocido en nuestro camino de fe. ¡Amén!
