Be Watchful, Be Alert / Atentos, Estén Alerta
Welcome to the season of Advent. We come this far to remind us that God loves us and no matter what life brings in the past, God is always there for us. Praise God for he Continuously showers his blessings upon us. Let us also continuously love Him thru the Eucharist. Advent means “coming”. Advent is a season of preparation for Jesus second coming. He will come again to gather us under his dominion to present to our Heavenly Father. As we anticipate that coming, we are called to prepare and be watchful. Let us be “watchful” in our understanding of the Eucharist as we respond to the church call to revival and renewal. How did the Eucharist impacted our life? Do we see the Eucharist as a way of life or an obligation? More than an obligation, Eucharist is a transformation of our life from God’s divine presence. We become what we celebrate. In coming to Mass, we come to prepare for our encounter with Jesus in the celebration, to experience the real presence of Jesus and to welcome Him into our hearts. Be watchful and be prepared for the Mass and let Jesus come to us so we can be Jesus to others who didn't know him. Preparation is the essence of Advent and the best attitude before going to Mass. We reflect on what God is telling us personally throughout the Mass because Jesus is speaking to us. Let us not only celebrate the Eucharist, let us be the “Eucharist” to others by our lives. Amen!
Bienvenidos al tiempo de Adviento. Venimos hasta aquí para recordarnos que Dios nos ama y que no importa lo que la vida nos traiga en el pasado, Dios siempre está ahí para nosotros. Alabemos a Dios porque continuamente derrama sus bendiciones sobre nosotros. Amémosle también continuamente a través de la Eucaristía. Adviento significa "venida". El Adviento es un tiempo de preparación para la segunda venida de Jesús. Él vendrá de nuevo a reunirnos bajo su dominio para presentarnos a nuestro Padre Celestial. Al anticipar esa venida, estamos llamados a prepararnos y a estar vigilantes. Seamos "vigilantes" en nuestra comprensión de la Eucaristía mientras respondemos a la llamada de la Iglesia al renacimiento y la renovación. ¿Cómo ha impactado la Eucaristía en nuestra vida? ¿Vemos la Eucaristía como una forma de vida o como una obligación? Más que una obligación, la Eucaristía es una transformación de nuestra vida a partir de la presencia divina de Dios. Nos convertimos en lo que celebramos. Al venir a Misa, venimos a prepararnos para nuestro encuentro con Jesús en la celebración, para experimentar la presencia real de Jesús y acogerlo en nuestros corazones. Estemos atentos y preparados para la Misa y dejemos que Jesús venga a nosotros para que podamos ser Jesús para otros que no lo conocieron. La preparación es la esencia del Adviento y la mejor actitud antes de ir a Misa. Reflexionemos sobre lo que Dios nos está diciendo personalmente a lo largo de la Misa porque Jesús nos está hablando. No sólo celebremos la Eucaristía, seamos "Eucaristía" para los demás con nuestra vida. Amén.
