19th Sunday of Ordinary Time / XIX Domingo del tiempo ordinario
Most of the trials, challenges or problems we faced are the tests of faith. How we face those trials reflects how strong our faith is. Peter probably though his faith is already string because Jesus is always with him, but facing a strong wind he became frightened and began to sink. Them Jesus told him, oh you of little faith! Sometimes we encountered challenged hard enough to face, its part of our lived, that’s why faith truly matters. A faith backed up with strong prayer life and good deeds that leads to our closeness with God. Faith that will remind us, don’t worry be happy, a fiath immovable as a rock, a faith that can move mountain, a faith that can make us walk in the waters of life no matter how strong the winds are. Someone said, “God’s purpose and design is behind every event, at times when we consider to be a disaster is simply the hand of God rearranging and trimming our lives”. God I believe has his own ways of making us smile especially when we want to give up and loose hope, certain surprises come our way that make us rise and keep going on because we have faith in Him. La mayoría de las pruebas, retos o problemas a los que nos enfrentamos son pruebas de fe. La forma en que afrontamos esas pruebas refleja lo fuerte que es nuestra fe. Pedro probablemente pensaba que su fe ya era fuerte porque Jesús siempre está con él, pero al enfrentarse a un fuerte viento se asustó y empezó a hundirse. Entonces Jesús le dijo: ¡Oh hombre de poca fe! A veces nos encontramos con desafíos difíciles de afrontar, es parte de nuestra vida, por eso la fe es tan importante. Una fe respaldada por una fuerte vida de oración y buenas obras que nos acerque a Dios. Una fe que nos recuerde, no te preocupes, sé feliz, una fe inamovible como una roca, una fe que pueda mover montañas, una fe que nos haga caminar sobre las aguas de la vida sin importar lo fuertes que sean los vientos. Alguien dijo: "El propósito y el diseño de Dios están detrás de cada acontecimiento, a veces lo que consideramos un desastre es simplemente la mano de Dios reorganizando y recortando nuestras vidas". Creo que Dios tiene sus propias maneras de hacernos sonreír, especialmente cuando queremos darnos por vencidos y perder la esperanza, ciertas sorpresas vienen a nuestro camino que nos hacen levantarnos y seguir adelante porque tenemos fe en Él.
